DOG GONE SMART’S PUPPY PROGRAM

FOR PUPPIES 8-20 WEEKS OLD

Dog Gone Smart’s puppy board and train program is a customizable socialization plan created to build a solid foundation during the important imprint time in your pup’s life.  Don’t put your puppy’s learning on pause while you’re away – bring them to board at Dog Gone Smart, where our Puppy Trainers will continue to properly socialize them so that they grow up to be confident and well-adjusted dogs! We can take puppies straight from the breeder in order to get a head start with training. The advantage of our program is the variety of experiences we can give your pup, including a kick start in getting accustomed to sensory variations with the use of complex environmental enrichment devices like treat puzzles and obstacle courses. 

Special attention is paid to instilling good manners throughout your puppy’s vacation. Our puppy accommodations include standard boarding with a gated area for supervised free exploration. Your puppy will be monitored to be sure they get plenty of rest throughout the day to stay on track with their socialization, training, and growth. If your puppy’s vaccinations are up to date, they will spend time in playgroups on the gym floor with other dogs that we evaluate to be a good fit for their age and play personality. Throughout the day, the trainers will train your puppy both inside and outside of the facility working on commands, control, bonding, and trust activities. If your puppy is lacking some vaccines, then the trainers will bring them to our puppy playtimes where they will learn appropriate play, bite inhibition, canine etiquette and how to socialize with other people and puppies in a controlled environment with puppies under 16 weeks only until they are fully immunized.

You will receive daily photos and videos of your pup’s progress and written instructions for you to follow at home. Our style of training is positive motivational paired with instinctual, using the dogs’ instincts to shape behavior and get results. At the end of your pup’s stay, you will receive instruction on everything we worked on so that you can successfully continue our foundational training.

When you come to pick them up, don’t be upset if your puppy doesn’t want to leave our puppy trainers– the amount of bonding time they spent together can sometimes be inseparable!  But it will transfer right back to you don’t worry.
