Purebreds and Mixed Breeds Welcome!

 CANINE GOOD CITIZEN (CGC) CLASS  The CGC is a certification program that is designed to reward dogs that have good manners at home and in the community. It stresses responsible pet ownership and basic good manners for dogs.  To receive a CGC certificate, dogs must pass a 10-item Canine Good Citizen Test.  All dogs that pass the CGC test will receive a certificate from the American Kennel Club. This test will be given after the successful completion of the last class by Sally Sizer, a licensed instructor and evaluator. 

If you are interested in training your dog to do Pet Assisted Therapy, please note that many health care facilities now require that dogs have BOTH a CGC (Canine Good Citizen) certificate AND are Delta Registered Pet Partners.

All dogs are welcome for the CGC course. There is no minimum age requirement for the dog to take the CGC test. Children 10 years old and older are welcome as long as they are accompanied by an adult and able to control the dog. All other children are welcome to attend but MUST be supervised by an adult and must be able to sit quietly through the entire class. $165/6 classes. Classes fill up fast, please sign up as soon as possible!                                                                                                                     

 

*Dogs must be a minimum of 1 year old to be Delta tested

* Dogs that are either already Schutzhund trained or are in the process of being Schutzhund trained are NOT eligible for the therapy dog class or Delta testing.
